Elder Patrick Appianti-Sarpong is a dedicated religious leader and administrator currently serving as an Area Seventy for the Africa West Area of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Since being sustained to the Third Quorum of the Seventy in April 2021, he has played a pivotal role in overseeing Church operations and humanitarian efforts across West Africa. Elder Appianti-Sarpong’s leadership is defined by a deep commitment to service and education. He previously served as President of the Nigeria Ibadan Mission (2018–2021) and held a significant professional role as the Manager of Training and Operations at the Ghana Missionary Training Center. His experience spans administrative management, community outreach, and ecclesiastical leadership, having also served as a Bishop and Stake Young Men leader. A native of Tema, Ghana, Elder Appianti-Sarpong joined the Church in 2005. He is known for his work in strengthening local communities through educational initiatives and media relations. He and his wife, Elizabeth, are the parents of three children.
