Richard Martin
Board Chairman/President
Richard Martin graduated in marketing from the University of Utah.
He started a carpet cleaning business to put him through college. He then entered the group benefits insurance world for 45+ years successfully establishing a clientele of small businesses that put him in the top 5% of agents throughout Utah.
He successfully retired this year and now heavily involved in charitable and church pursuits. Richard is married to Doris
Zeb Moers

Zeb Moers is Director of Revenue Development at Making Opportunity Count, a Massachusetts-based nonprofit serving nearly 40,000 residents annually across housing, health, early childhood, nutrition, workforce development, and family support. With nearly a decade of nonprofit experience across the country and internationally, Zeb has raised and managed $10M+ in nonprofit revenue and built a career around a simple belief: that the right funding systems and infrastructure are what allow good work to last. His background spans grants, major gifts, donor programs, and capital development for organizations working at the intersection of economic stability and community opportunity.
Patrick Appianti-Sarpong

Elder Patrick Appianti-Sarpong is a dedicated religious leader and administrator currently serving as an Area Seventy for the Africa West Area of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Since being sustained to the Third Quorum of the Seventy in April 2021, he has played a pivotal role in overseeing Church operations and humanitarian efforts across West Africa.
Elder Appianti-Sarpong’s leadership is defined by a deep commitment to service and education. He previously served as President of the Nigeria Ibadan Mission (2018–2021) and held a significant professional role as the Manager of Training and Operations at the Ghana Missionary Training Center. His experience spans administrative management, community outreach, and ecclesiastical leadership, having also served as a Bishop and Stake Young Men leader.
A native of Tema, Ghana, Elder Appianti-Sarpong joined the Church in 2005. He is known for his work in strengthening local communities through educational initiatives and media relations. He and his wife, Elizabeth, are the parents of three children.

Kingsley is a passionate and service oriented individual based in Accra, Ghana, who believes strongly in the power of compassion and community. He is driven by a deep desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others, especially those who are often overlooked or underserved.
Through his involvement with the Motema Foundation, Kingsley is committed to supporting initiatives that promote dignity, safety, and hope. He brings a strong sense of responsibility, discipline, and empathy to his work, guided by the belief that even small acts of kindness can create meaningful and lasting impact.

Charles Crankson is a Talent Acquisition Specialist with international HR and stakeholder experience. He is passionate about connecting people to meaningful opportunities and improving the systems that support organizational effectiveness. He has worked across quality assurance, mentoring, career coaching, and talent development. He is known to be particularly interested in practical, simple, sustainable, and results-oriented strategies that meet client needs.
With a background in Applied Business Management from Brigham Young University–Idaho, he has a strong foundation in monitoring, evaluation, performance management, and executive reporting.

Emmanuel serves as Finance Treasurer, supporting the foundation’s mission through effective financial planning and responsible stewardship. He holds a BSc in Business Administration (Marketing) from the University of Ghana.
With a background in data entry and clerical work, Emmanuel brings strong skills in budgeting, data management, and Excel. He is known for his integrity and accountability, ensuring transparency and efficiency in all financial operations. Emmanuel is passionate about using his skills to help drive sustainable impact and support the foundation’s long-term goals.

Arsene Kyungu comes from the DR Congo. He grew up doing a lot of outdoor things mainly soccer. He enjoys playing the guitar and singing. He served as a missionary in Austin Texas for 2 years and really got to love helping and serving people. In his words, he said "I am excited to help children get an education and have hope for a bright future"
